BeetRoot Falafel


Vegan Beetroot Falafel is a colorful and nutritious twist on the classic, incorporating earthy beetroot into the chickpea-based mixture for a vibrant hue and added depth of flavor. These cruelty-free falafels boast a crispy exterior while maintaining a tender and flavorful center, showcasing the perfect fusion of Middle Eastern tradition with a plant-based twist. With the natural sweetness of beets, these falafels offer a delightful burst of freshness in every bite.


Ingredients:

  1. 1 can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained⁣
  2. ½ onion (chopped)⁣
  3. 1 clove garlic (minced / crushed)⁣
  4. 1 tsp ground cumin⁣
  5. 1 tsp ground coriander⁣
  6. 1 tsp paprika pepper⁣
  7. ½ tsp sea salt⁣
  8. 100g ready to eat beetroot (chopped)⁣


Instructions:

  • Preheat over to 180c⁣
  • Add all the ingredients to a blender and blitz. ⁣
  • Then shape the mixture into balls and flatten ⁣
  • Place on to a prepared oven tray ⁣
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds ⁣
  • Bake for 15 minutes and then turn over and bake for a further 10 minutes.
