Vegan Buffalo Chickpea Pizza is a flavor-packed twist on traditional pizza, featuring a zesty buffalo chickpea topping that adds a spicy kick to each slice. The plant-based buffalo sauce marries perfectly with the crispiness of the crust, creating a mouthwatering combination of heat and texture. Ingredients:
- Chickpea Crust
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1/4-1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4-1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4-1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup + 3 Tbsp Buffalo Wing Sauce
- vegan mozzarella
- Top with vegan sauce (Original or Cilantro Chili)
- Extra toppings: chives, cilantro, avocado, nutritional yeast
Instructions:
- Preheat over to 400*F/204*C.
- Thinly slice garlic.
- Drain & rinse chickpeas. Toss in seasoning until well coated (use more if you like strong flavors food).
- Toss in 1/4 cup buffalo sauce until well coated.
- Cover baking tray with aluminum foil; add pizza crust to tray.
- Coat bottom of pizza in more buffalo sauce (about 3 Tbsp, but varies on crust size & your spice tolerance).
- Add garlic slices on top of sauce.
- Cover in vegan mozzarella & top with chickpeas. Cook 10-15 minutes (melt cheese, but watch to ensure it doesn’t overcook).
- While cooking, chop your extra toppings (chives, cilantro, avocados, etc). Remove pizza when done cooking.
- Drizzle with Bitchin Sauce & add extra toppings!
